Meet the Team – See Our Operation in Action
The Coleridge Downs team warmly invites all prospective applicants for the cadetship program to attend our pen day.
Join us for an information session at Lake Coleridge Village Hall, followed by a brief farm tour where you'll get to meet our team.
After the tour, enjoy a relaxed BBQ and afternoon tea—an opportunity to chat with current staff, cadets, and their families, and get a real feel for the community and environment and Coleridge Downs.
To wrap up the day, we’ll open the living quarters and classroom/farm office facilities at Big Ben, giving you an inside look at life on the farm.
Our cadets are an essential part of our workforce, training alongside experienced staff and gaining a wide range of practical, on-farm skills. Over the two-year Cadetship, cadets are mentored by our passionate team of senior staff who are committed to their growth and success.
Registration is essential –
2026 Open Day
Date to be confirmed
Attend open day to be confirmed for 2026.
Applications open shortly after the open day.
Applications are processed and candidates are shortlisted for an interview in July.
Interviews take place mid-August and new cadets are selected.
We hold a pre-entry initiation week for successful cadets in December to induct new cadets with our H&S procedures and systems, and help cadets settle in prior to starting in February.
New cadets and parents arrive for a welcoming BBQ and start work early Februar.y.
Please Note: Due to the demands of our busy farm operations, we are unable to arrange private visits for interested potential Cadet applicants.
The very best opportunity to see our training farm facilities, operations, team, and culture is at our Annual Open Day.
You must currently be in school and be a direct school leaver to apply for the Cadetship.
